Tenor Reed Variety Pack, 4 Rico and 1 Plasticover Selection Mix Sax Shack Gift Brand new unused reeds. Taken from a full box of reeds and combined to make up this exciting selection.
This fantastic value variety pack includes one each of the following five reeds:
1 x D’Addario Plasticover – Plasticover reeds feature the standard Rico cut with a plastic coating, which resists moisture and remains stable in varying weather conditions. This coating results in a bright, projecting tone and offers greater durability and lifespan. Plasticover is a favorite among jazz and pop musicians and also works well in outdoor settings.
1 x D’Addario Royal – The Royal reed combines the features of the traditional Rico cut with a French file. Designed for advancing players, Royal reeds offer an even response across the registers and more clarity in the sound.
1 x Select Jazz reed featuring the thickest spine and blank of Rico’s jazz reeds with a traditional tip shape. The Select Jazz cut offers great projection, focus, and a dark sound. They are available in ‘filed’ or ‘unfiled’ cuts. This pack contains one ‘filed’ reed. They are commonly available in strengths 2H, 3S, 3M, 3H. (See ‘Strength Options’ below)
1 x La Voz reeds are unfiled and feature a thinner profile and blank. The La Voz strength range offers greater flexibility, and their deep, powerful tone makes them a standard among jazz musicians. This pack contains one La Voz reed. They are commonly available in strengths Medium Soft, Medium, Medium Hard. (See ‘Strength Options’ below)
1 x Hemke reed. Frederick L. Hemke reeds are filed and feature a thinner tip and shorter vamp for ease of response. They are a favorite among jazz and classical players alike; they are also popular with advancing students. They are commonly available in strengths 1.5, 2.0, 2.5, 3.0 & 3.5
