SML Strasse Marigaux Rev. D Tenor Saxophone Circa 1955****SOLD****

Selling on behalf of current owner, this is a beautiful example of the SML Rev. D tenor sax in original lacquer.

The lacquer condition and general appearance of this tenor is about as good as they get.

Rolled tone holes, original pads and resonators in excellent condition and original gold plated springs.

It has all its original pearls in excellent condition.

These old SML models have adjustable G# lever that allows you to use it with or without an articulated G#.

This sax has a big sound and is very free blowing with plenty of power when required.

They are known for their sonic similarity to vintage 50’s core sound of the Selmers that were around at the time.

The SML tenor is a superb combination of a dark, lush tone like a vintage Conn, with a French core and complexity like a Selmer or Buffet.
