The Martin Alto Saxophone****SOLD****
Here we have a lovely example of ‘The Martin’ Alto professional level saxophone Circa 1961.
This sax has recently been serviced and is in good clean condition.
The lacquer is showing signs of it’s age but this doesn’t detract from the way this sax hangs together and it has been previously published as being in the ‘Top 10’ of all time great Alto’s.
It has some nice design features and adjustable right-thumb hook.
There are no major dents or dings.
Includes: Case but no mouthpiece. We have a large selection of mouthpieces available online or in the Shop
Description
Introduced in 1945, The Martin saxophone line bears its name beautifully on the bell.
Arguably the best designed and most sought after of all the Martin horns, The Martin features and adjustable right-thumb hook, wire key covers, and soldered tone holes adding to the weight of the horn.
These instruments were used by Art Pepper, Louis Jordan and countless blues and R&B players.
